Hi my name is Sarah Dower and I am a Personal Trainer in North Melbourne and Inner City areas.
I originally wanted to be a Chiropractor or Physiotherapist. I went on to complete the first year of a science degree, with the aim to head in this direction, and was fascinated by the science, and how the human body works, so I went on to complete my Honours and Masters degrees in Biomedical Science, and worked in pharmaceutical development at CSL. I still have a fascination for science and health.
After leaving the lab, I spent almost 15 years working in sales, and moving into a national role, I became acutely aware of the effects of today’s largely sedentary and stressful lifestyles on our health. With my science background, I understand the importance of staying fit, and keeping healthy, but have even struggled to maintain this myself.
After seeing first hand the benefits of yoga, exercise/fitness, meditation and nutrition can have on the body, Iaim to empower others, and help them live a healthy lifestyle. I have over 5 years experience as a yoga teacher, and am also a qualified barre instructor, and meditation teacher and qualified as a personal trainer in 2020.
