Hi, I'm Dee Meltzer and I am a mobile personal trainer with Fitness Inside Out in Melbourne South East.
Nothing feels better than helping someone make a long-lasting transformation and watch them surprise themselves with what their body and mind can achieve.
I began working as a journalist and built a career in global communications in the tech industry, before realising my true passion lay elsewhere. Reverting back to a degree in psychology and passion for health, I wanted to help people take charge of their fitness journey and feel confident in their own bodies. So I traded deadlines for dumbbells and began a new chapter as a Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor, and soon to be Pilates Trainer.
My own fitness journey began with triathlon training; for over 12 years I trained and competed locally and internationally, drumming up experience and techniques in multi-discipline sports. Today I specialise in functional strength training and mobility, and integrated body – brain fitness to help my clients move better with fewer physical and mindful limitations.
Many of my clients come to me with different goals; from weight management, increasing bone density, rebuilding confidence after an injury, or returning to running after a setback. Every program I design is highly personalised and shaped around my client’s lifestyle and aspirations, with a focus on long lasting change.
I’m constantly integrating a broader approach into programs, giving clients more tools to reach their goals. To better support my clients’ joint health, flexibility, and range of motion, I’m adding on training to become a qualified Reformer Pilates instructor.

My favourite exercise
Boxing is one of my favourite exercises because it fires up both body and neuroplasticity, building strength, agility, focus helping you to be more switched on, while improving cardio fitness. Add music and choreography, and it becomes a full boosting rhythm session. This exercise can also be slowed down and integrated with core work, focus and even buddy-up team work.
My favourite piece of equipment
Resistance bands are one of my go-to pieces of equipment because they’re so versatile and joint-friendly. They’re perfect for improving strength, mobility, balance, and posture without adding stress to the joints. I love how they can be used anywhere — at home, in the park, or in the studio — and they’re especially effective for activating smaller stabilising muscles that often get overlooked. It’s a simple tool with endless possibilities, which makes it a client favourite too.
