Hi my name is Serhan Segitmen and I am a mobile personal trainer with Fitness Inside Out in the Inner West area of Sydney.

Where do I start? I'm truly passionate about exercise, health, and sports. Being an empath helps me connect with my clients and see their progress, which led me to pursue a Masters in Physiotherapy after completing my Exercise and Sports Science degree. At the beginning of my fitness journey, I was unsure and had to research extensively to achieve my goals of losing weight, gaining strength, and improving wellness. This experience has brought me to where I am today, privileged to help others reach their goals, which is incredibly rewarding.

Additionally, personal training complements my physiotherapy studies. It provides hands-on experience to tailor strategies to individual needs and preferences. Whether the goal is gaining strength, losing fat, enhancing muscle tone, or achieving sport-specific gains, I am confident in my ability to support clients effectively.

I love helping people and get great satisfaction from seeing their week-to-week and month-to-month progress. Enhancing weights lifted or improving mobility through activities like brisk walks are examples of the progress we can achieve together. Meeting new individuals and learning about their interests further enriches this experience.

Currently, I am studying for a Masters in Physiotherapy and have completed my Exercise and Sports Science degree, along with certifications III and IV in Fitness. I've been working with personal training clients for nearly five years. My experience includes NDIS placements in my Physiotherapy program, assisting individuals with neurological disabilities, and sports trainer work focusing on drills and injury management.

Favourite Movie

I'm honestly awful when it comes to movies and TV series, but I love pretty much every movie I'm recommended.

Most recent one that I liked was 'The Gentlemen' with Matthew McConaughey.

My favorite exercise and why

Most leg exercises are pretty fun. I personally like the glute bridge/hip thrust as you can feel every inch of your legs burning and working on each and every rep. For the upper body, a dumbbell chest press or seated row is enjoyable too!

My favourite piece of equipment

Dumbbells. So versatile, you can pretty much work every part of the body with them. Upper body, lower body, it's got you covered. For the more functional trainers, a plyometric box is great too!

My number one health or fitness tip

Genuinely, so cliche - be consistent. A little is better than nothing. Progress isn’t about a single perfect day, it’s about stacking up small wins over time. You're making a choice by putting your money into this, you might as well show up! Even if it's just for 20 minutes.Also, the best exercise is the one you'll actually do. Make training enjoyable!
